UWCSEA is excited to announce the opening of the new Food Technology room on East Campus. The room boasts top-of-the-line equipment and a sleek, modern kitchen designed for teaching and learning in modern food contexts. Our new facility will open many new possibilities which will serve our students well in their IGCSE Food and Nutrition course.
On Tuesday, 16 February 2021, the official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the opening of the room. Members of our College Leadership Team, including College President Carma Elliot, and the Head of East Campus, Nick Alchin, were in attendance to their support for the new facility.
It has been an exciting journey over the past year bringing the idea of a new teaching food lab at UWCSEA East to fruition. The new Food Technology room, a top-of-the-line teaching and learning facility, will open many doors to students who wish to explore the world of culinary arts. The new facility gives us the opportunity to expand programs and the presence of Food Technology and Nutrition at UWCSEA.
