There are four main areas of work which Ummeed specialises in: advocacy, research, clinical services, and training. With advocacy focusing on raising awareness and actively being involved with international communities, national groups and task forces. Funding for research goes towards organisations to foster and progress research for children with intellectual disabilities. Clinical services supports the children themselves, overcoming their physical disabilities through medical means. Lastly, training involves educating people, and creating trained professionals and workers, who can manage developmental impairments more effectively. Ummeed has made an incredible impact in helping children in India with developmental disabilities as well as their families to provide the quality care that every child deserves.
