Brian Ó Maoileoin

Primary School Principal, UWCSEA Dover

Brian Ó Maoileoin, B.Ed; M.Ed (Educational Management) joined UWCSEA in August 2000 as a Grade 2 teacher. He has since served as Head of Grade 4 and as Vice Principal and was appointed Principal of the Junior School in June 2008. He was also elected by the staff to serve a two-year term on the College's Board of Governors from 2004 to 2006.

Originally from Ireland, Brian studied at the National University of Ireland (M.I. College of Education) in Limerick, specializing in Education and the Irish Language, in which he is fluent. He also holds a Master's Degree in Educational Management from the University of Sheffield.

With over 24 years' teaching and management experience, both in Ireland and Singapore, Brian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his position. He has spoken at educational conferences on the topics of Curriculum Development, Curriculum Leadership and School Leadership.

Together with his wife Kate, Brian is kept busy at home with three children, all of whom are students UWCSEA Dover Campus. His interests include reading, music, singing and drama.
