On Saturday the Dragons Swim Team held the Dragon Fish vs Water Dragons meet. The Dragons swimmers were split into the two teams for a head to head competition over two sessions. Coach Jake Tyson said “The atmosphere was as electric as you can really get whilst swimming event after event so closely packed together. After two rounds and five hours of racing, the Water Dragons were victorious with a very narrow lead over the Dragon Fish, the title of best cheering team went to the Dragon Fish.

“This was our first real chance to race in a meet all year long, and racing is an art of its own, so we weren't expecting any PB's, but we actually had quite a few! I think we are feeling a little sharper on the blocks after this meet and ready to start taking on other teams by putting down some really impressive efforts in the next few weeks”

Special mention to swimmers who broke School Records Arya Babbar, Sae Otsu, Mao Otsu, Carter Wallis, Jingyi Ning, Kento Terao and Ansel Song. Congratulations to these swimmers and their respective coaches.

The meet was streamed live and the teams enjoyed some mid afternoon karaoke from Coach Jen.

Head of Aquatics Andrew Nicholls said “The Dragons swimmers had a great weekend, our team dinner on Friday Night and the racing on Saturday were a refreshing high point in difficult circumstances. Coach Jake and the rest of the coaching team have done an exceptional job to create an opportunity for our swimmers”

This weekend, nine of the Dragons are racing at the Singapore National Short Course Championships while another 17 are competing at the Singapore Sports School Time Trial event. All the best Dragons!
