Lynda Scott

Former Infant School Principal, Dover Campus

Lynda Scott was appointed as the Vice Principal of Infant School at UWCSEA Dover in August 2014. In August 2015, she took on the role of Head of Infant School and in August 2016, she was named Infant School Principal. She began her career as a teacher-director in a pre-school in her hometown of Terrigal, on the NSW central coast. In 1991 she left Australia for a 2-year adventure to teach in Kuala Lumpur. Now, with 26 years of early childhood teaching and leadership experience in a variety of international school settings, she has happily settled here in Singapore.

Lynda holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood, and will complete her Masters of International Education (School Leadership) this year. She is a passionate advocate for young children and is particularly interested in ensuring the specific learning needs of each child are met. Lynda likes to stay current through ongoing professional development and reading up on latest research in the field of education and leadership.

Lynda has a 20-year-old daughter Atikah who attends university in Sydney. In her spare time Lynda enjoys being involved in a variety of sports and activities including mountain biking, surfing, refereeing touch football and yoga.
